Cover Reveal: Fail to Fight by Maci Dillon

Cover Designed by: RBA Designs

Release Date: November 22, 2016

synAn emotional story of unrequited love…

Now, I ask you not to condemn the man I loved without knowing all the details. What he did was inexcusable and unforgettable, yes, but I wanted to forgive.

What I struggled with was why he left me scared and broken, without a fight.

With no goodbye, no closure.

And without closure, there was no moving on.

Visions of her would haunt my dreams for all eternity. That night destroyed my world and changed my life forever.

They say everything is bigger in Texas. I witnessed it first hand: the men, egos, and lifestyles. I was smack dab in the middle of it. My name is Cassandra Wade. I gave up a successful modeling career to be the trophy wife of Jackson Wade, the famous oil magnate. It would have been great if it weren’t for Jackson’s twin sons, Derek and Damon. They were polar opposites: the angel and the devil incarnate. While Jackson offered me security, Derek and Damon offered something very different. Something I tried to resist, but the urge and desire was too strong and I succumbed to temptation. What will happen if Jackson finds out? It’s sure to be an epic battle of wills because losing isn’t a word the Wade men tolerate.

ARC Review: Step-Dom (Stepdaddy Dom)-T.S. Irons

Preface: I don’t typically post erotica or taboo on this site because it is geared towards a specific audience. That being said, I read and reviewed this for a friend and if this is something that will offend you or you’re under 18 skip to the next post. Thank you 🙂

Final Stepdaddy Dom CoverGoodreads/Amazon/B&N/Smashwords

cooltext1889161239 copyMy life was almost perfect. I had a job I loved that made me a ton of money. I had the perfect wife who was sexy, smart, and loved to play games in the bedroom. And then there was Riley, my eighteen-year-old stepdaughter, the bane of my existence. She was a spoiled brat that needed to be taught a lesson, and I was going to bend her into submission.

Warning: This is a smutty taboo tale. If it’s not your thing, don’t one click!

  • Stepdaddy Dom (Step-Dom) is short, dirty, and just the right amount of taboo. It’s raunchy and stimulating, keeps your attention and gives you just enough without jumping the line into step-by-step description.
  • Riley’s mother was a big surprise. Her brief inclusion was mysterious, shocking, and playful. She has a powerful, if short presence that has you hungering for more.
  • Stepdaddy has a vulgar, dirty mouth and he uses just the right phrasing. His thoughts are provocative, his actions deliberate, he’s everything you’d want in a dominant character. Told from his perspective, you get the full visual and the thought process as he schemes for new tantalizing ways to drive Riley crazy.

  • Some scenes were quick-paced and didn’t have enough time to build up. I would have liked to see more graphic descriptions of activities.
  • Parts were unrealistic (not that many smutty books are) especially Riley’s active participation. Riley displayed hardly any resistance what so ever and almost just shrugged off what should have been a terrifying experience of being locked up. The fear wasn’t there, even briefly. Riley jumped from one a momentary pause at her stepfather’s actions to full on inhibition and submission.
  • Characters were what you’d expect at face value. Riley, Riley’s mother, and her stepfather were all intriguing but lacked exploration beyond their surface traits.

Happy reading,

Review: Addict-Rachael Orman

cooltext1889161239 copyMy name is Alix and I am addicted to sex.

Had been for years. I thought I learned how to live a normal life, but that’s the thing about addiction, it creeps back up when you least expect it. There is no one there for me, no one I can turn to for help. Until I’m given a chance to explore a side of myself I’d always kept locked away. I was lost…until him. I can’t tell you who he is, or why he does the things he’s done. All I can say is I hope one day I behave well enough to take off the blindfold and see the man who controls my addiction. My Master.

My name is John and I am addicted to control.
I tried to deny the dominate side of my personality. I didn’t want to admit how much I enjoyed the power, how much I enjoyed causing pain. That is until the woman I’d been secretly been stalking waltzed into a BDSM club right in front of me. All bets are off. She will be mine.

Together our addictions feed off each other, fueling the fire that burns within. Until suddenly the fire is too hot to handle, burning everything in its path. The pain and scars we’d both come into our fragile relationship with are split wide open, exposing more than either of us can handle, possibly leaving nothing behind to salvage from the ashes.

**Warning: Intended for audiences 18+ due to explicit sex & vulgar language, mention of rape/abuse**

cooltext1889171582 copy

3.5/5 Stars

+++Contains BDSM situations, explicit sex, vulgar language, references to sexual abuse that might cause triggers. Triggers.

  • Rachael Orman takes addiction to a whole new level. Reading Addict was an eye-opening and insightful experience. Sex addiction is often dismissed or laughed off and not seen as psychological disorder. Rachael Orman presents sex addiction in Alix as a compulsion, something she’s helpless against, a pressure that builds until it’s uncontainable and must be satisfied even if it requires putting herself in perilous situations. Alix feels helpless, damaged, and incapable of leading a normal life or even daring to dream of a healthy relationship because of her condition. Her agony is stark and twisted, full of poignant sadness and yearning. Alix seeks help but quickly loses faith that she can overcome. As the plot progressed Alix’s emotions become a whirlwind of uncertainty and something like hope.
  • Addict is blunt, shocking, graphic, made of pure desire and spoken wants. There’s startling scenes that will leave you blushing and bashful because they feel forbidden, taboo, and in some cases, too raunchy to be true. Alix’s actions at her desk and the subsequent reactions by John are a heady combination of embarrassing and exhilarating.
  • John is sexy, dominant and exhibits extreme control. He wields his sexuality with the prowess of a fierce predator. He knows what he wants and takes it. John wants to help Alix, she’s a temptation he can’t resist and what he feels is overwhelming. When he becomes Master J, holy hotness. The scenes are graphic and told from both perspectives so you get both sides of their pleasure.
  • Together Alix and John are discovering each other through a safe combination of pleasure and pain. Alix finds peace of mind in subspace and John gains salvation learning what an emotional connection can bring to his lonely. John heals from his past through his interactions with Alix. BDSM scenes aren’t too detailed that they read like step-by-step instructions, they flow smoothly and are full of tantalizing tension.

  • John and Alix’s backstories are mentioned but it never goes into great detail. There are hints that lead to sexual abuse etc., but the reader is left with gapping holes where those explanations should be. These memories would have shed light on both of their personalities and maybe even strengthened them; instead, their absence brought confusion and speculation that wasn’t satisfied.
  • Secondary characters have little purpose and barely function at all in the story. They’re fleeting and forgettable.
  • John’s insistence on keeping his past and job a mystery was understandable but to an extent. Eventually it became an annoyance and there wasn’t a reason to continue such cloak and dagger antics.

+++To my YA readers: This is an ADULT book so 18+++

By My Side is a sensual journey into recovering after heartbreak and the beauty of finding love again. Bursting with light and laughter, Theresa Troutman shows that sometimes, when you take a chance, wonderfully unexpected happiness can happen.

  • The chemistry is an explosion of heat and steady loss of control as Alicia and Hunter fall deeper into lust and love. Fiery kisses are met with tender touches and passionate lovemaking followed by rough, graphic sex. Each encounter is a new experience in learning control, healing, and in finding themselves again in a cloud of loss and heartache.
  • Alicia and Hunter are both flirts. Their playful, perverted banter speaks of attraction on both a physical and emotional level. They tease and tempt each other to the point of no return, falling into each other’s arm with little thought but ecstasy and raw need. Their conversations flow naturally and are sometimes cheesy but adorable. They’re both lovable, thoughtful people and the fact that they are so good has you cheering for their love to grow.
  • Alicia was incredibly believable. Her struggle with her hurt and digging through her beliefs to accommodate her new situation is something that the average girl can connect to. The uncertainty of trusting again, of opening your heart and the fear that your significant other will be careless and stomp all over it. Alicia thought she knew what she wanted, but as her heart opens, she discovers that there’s so much more to feel and experience when she doesn’t put limitations on herself and let fear rule her.
  • Hunter’s loss is horrible and traumatic. He’s such a cheery, stunning guy that it’s easy to forget that his heart has been mangled and his life altered by a freak tragedy. Hunter is part dom part insatiable Adonis. He’s thoughtful and always concerned with Alicia’s comfort but most importantly, he knows when to push her to achieve blissful joy.

  • The secondary characters faded out into the background and while Alicia and Hunter both felt friendship for these people, there wasn’t enough to substantiate these feelings. Tia, Pax, Mick, etc were are interesting characters, especially from a cultural perspective. Learning about the Maori habits and beliefs would have added a little more color to these smaller characters and made the story more cohesive in terms of subplots.
  • Some scenes were extremely detailed while others glossed over the imagery. This fluctuation left breathtaking scenery to the imagination and at times was so explicit that it fell flat.

cooltext1804462224 copyIt was a quiet ride home to Parnell. Both of us seemed to be lost in thought. When we pulled into the drive, Hunter turned off the ignition. I opened the passenger door and got out of the car. Hunter grabbed my bag from the back seat and walked me to my flat. I took the bag from him and fished inside to find my key.Placing it in the lock, I turned the key and opened the kitchen door. I wasn’t expecting it, but Hunter followed behind me. I turned around to face him, before I could turn on the kitchen light.

“I had a great day. Thanks for taking me out on the boat.”

“The pleasure was all mine.”

Flirty Hunter was back! The light from the outside lamppost played across his face, making those gorgeous eyes look sexy and dangerous. His hair fell forward over one eye and instinctively, I pushed the hair back behind his ear. I didn’t want to lose the connection I felt gazing into those eyes.Reaching up and taking hold of my wrist, he turned my hand over and gently kissed my palm. My body hummed with excitement. Next thing I knew, his other arm snaked around my waist and pulled me to him. The heat of his body warded off the chill of the night air.

“Where did you come from, Alicia?” he asked in a low sexy voice.

I knew it was a rhetorical question, but I answered anyway. “America.”

With that, his lips were on mine, his body pushing me against the door frame between the kitchen and living room. The kiss was filled with passion and longing. I’m glad he held me in his arms, because my knees would have given out otherwise. My mind went blank and all I could do was enjoy the sensation of his strong, firm lips crushing against mine. A small whimper escaped my mouth and that only seemed to fuel the fire.

His tongue begged for access to my mouth and my lips parted giving him what he wanted. Soon his tongue was dancing with my tongue at a heated frenzied pace. I dropped my handbag and it hit with a thud, its contents spilling on the floor. The magic spell was broken as Hunter backed away. My hand flew up to cover my mouth, my finger tips touching my swollen lips.

“That’s not how just friends kiss,” I murmured, breathless.

His breathing was ragged. Hunter felt it, too. “No, it’s not,” he agreed as he slowly backed toward the kitchen door, his eyes not leaving mine. “Goodnight, Alicia.”

Then he was gone.My knees finally gave out and I slid to the floor, looking at the contents of my spilt purse. What the hell did I get myself into? When I finally got the feeling in my legs back, I stood up and walked over to the kitchen door to lock up for the night.Outside, Hunter was lying on a lounge chair, pensively staring up at the stars. What did that woman, the one he was going to marry, do to him? With a heavy sigh, I locked the kitchen door and climbed the stairs to go to bed. Stripping off my clothes, I dressed in my plaid lounge pants and pink tank top. Pulling the elastic band from my pony tail, my hair fell free, cascading over my shoulders. One more glance out the window confirmed that Hunter had gone inside the house.

Sophie Perez has
never believed the stuff she reads online about possible life in space. Aliens are
for the movies, for the weirdoes, and they most definitely are not real.
One night on the

of a country road, with a dead cell phone, doesn’t seem like that big of a
Until strange
neon lights appear in the sky. She thinks it is her imagination.
When an

About to become
